They think "Dan" describes me,
But it doesn't.

Surround me.
Friendless, rejected, and mocked
Describes me.
Lies, hartache, and my past
Haunt me.
They ask again,
Wanting my name.
With no name, am I still me?
Yes, but I never tell them.
All I say is, "I'm Dan."
